1.Dicalcium phosphate (DCP) introduction
Dicalcium phosphate (DCP) is the calcium phosphate with the formula CaHPO4 and its dihydrate. It is also known as dibasic calcium phosphate or calcium monohydrogen phosphate. DCP is used in a variety of industries.
a. Food Additive: As a food additive, DCP is used to fortify calcium supplementation, enhancing the nutritional value of food. Additionally, it can serve as a quality improver in fermented food products, used as needed.
b. Animal Feed Additive: In the animal feed industry, DCP is used as a mineral feed additive to supplement phosphorus and calcium in animal feed, contributing to the growth, development, and immune enhancement of livestock.
c. Pharmaceutical Industry: DCP is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as a calcium supplement to prevent and treat calcium deficiency-related diseases or symptoms. It is also used as an analytical reagent and as a diluent or absorbent in formulation technology.
d. Chemical Raw Material: In the chemical industry, DCP can act as a water treatment agent, pH regulator, and buffer, as well as a raw material for the production of other chemicals.
e. Fertilizer: DCP also widely used as a phosphate fertilizer.
