Calcium hypochlorite introduction

Calcium hypochlorite (Ca(ClO)2), white powder or granules with a strong odor similar to chlorine gas. It is easily soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is alkaline. It has corrosiveness and strong oxidizing properties. Calcium hypochlorite (Ca(ClO)₂) has a wide range of applications, mainly including the following fields:

  • Water Treatment: It can remove harmful substances such as organic matter and heavy metal ions, it can also effectively kill bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms in water through its strong oxidizing properties, thus purifying water quality,
  • Textile Industry: It is used in the paper industry for pulp bleaching and in the textile industry for bleaching cotton, linen, silk, and other fiber fabrics. Its bleaching effect is good, capable of removing pigments from fibers, making fabrics white and clean.
  • Others: Chemical industry, medical and health industry, agriculture and aquaculture

The whole process includes lime slurry preparation, first reaction, centrifuge, second reaction, centrifuge, third reaction, centrifuge and drying. To add a certain amount mother liquid, caustic soda into the #1 reactor, then release chlorine gas, control the reaction temperature. After the reaction completed, to transfer the reacted materials into centrifuge for separation, the salt goes for warehouse, the liquid goes into settling tank.

To add a certain amount mother liquid and lime slurry into #2 reactor, keep the reactor temperature, release chlorine gas. After reaction completed, transfer the reaction liquid into centrifuge for separation. The liquid (bleaching liquid) goes into storage pool for sell, while, the solid after mixing with the liquid which from settling tank goes into #3 reactor. Control the reactor temperature and release chlorine gas. After the reaction completed, the reaction liquid goes into centrifuge for separation. The solid will be transferred into the flash dryer, then goes to breaking machine and shaking mesh, the qualified product will be packed and the unqualified return to granulating process. The liquid will goes into mother liquid pool.

The drying tail gas is transferred to the tail gas absorber and absorbed by the circulating sprayed water, when the absorbed liquid comes to a certain concentration transferred to the mother liquid pool for use again. The production tail gas goes to the tail gas tower, when the liquid comes to a certain concentration then transferred to the mother liquid pool.
